TO DOS
Premier Pools & Spas Grand Opening — This Morning, 11 AM
Quick reminder for this morning: the Chamber ribbon cutting at Premier Pools & Spas is happening at 11 AM. They're giving away a robotic pool cleaner at the event, which is a pretty good reason to stop by even if a pool isn't in your immediate future. Find the address at premierpoolsandspas.com.
Spring Dance Concert — BLUE SHOW | Tonight, 6:30 PM
Tonight is the second and final night of the spring dance series at the Cookeville Performing Arts Center. The BLUE SHOW starts at 6:30 PM and features ballet, jazz, and modern performances from the School of Dance. A genuinely good Friday night option, especially if you have a young dancer in your circle. Check the PAC website for tickets.
Coming Next Week: Tennessee Central Soda Shop Ribbon Cutting
Worth putting on your radar: a soda shop called Tennessee Central is opening in Cookeville, with a Chamber ribbon cutting scheduled for Thursday, April 16. Details on exact time and address are still coming in, so check the Chamber's events page closer to the date. A new soda shop is a pretty fun addition to the local scene.

LOCAL BUSINESSES
A couple more ribbon cuttings are lined up for next week alongside the Tennessee Central Soda Shop: The Wild Grove and Let's Face It Aesthetics and Med Spa are both cutting ribbons with the Chamber on Friday, April 17. Details TBD — watch the Chamber's events page for times and addresses.

HAPPENINGS
Here's what else is happening this weekend:
Middle Tennessee Food Truck & Arts Festival at the Putnam County Fairgrounds, Saturday, April 11. Food trucks from across Middle Tennessee alongside arts vendors — a different kind of Saturday than the Firefly Festival happening simultaneously at Dogwood Park. If your crew would rather build a day around food trucks and browse vendor tables in a fairgrounds setting, this is your option. Check midtnfoodtrucks.com for time and cost details.
4th Annual Firefly Festival at Dogwood Park, Saturday April 11 through Sunday April 12, starting at 10 AM. If you're going, today's the day. Free all weekend, original music only, handmade goods only. Saturday runs through 8 PM. No tickets, no registration, just show up. Full details at hipcookeville.com/fireflyfestival.
Green Market at Jig Head Brewing, Saturday, April 11, 8 AM to noon. The Cookeville Green Market runs year-round at Jig Head Brewing, 310 Newman Drive — a different location from the Municipal Building market. A nice early-morning start before the rest of Saturday picks up. Free to browse.
28th Annual Celebration of Craft at the Appalachian Center for Craft (short drive toward Smithville), Saturday, April 11, 10 AM to 5 PM. Studio demos in glassblowing, blacksmithing, pottery, and weaving. Gallery is 25% off. Free admission. Details at tntech.edu.
History Hikes downtown, Saturday, April 11, 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Walk between the Cookeville Depot Museum and Cookeville History Museum on Broad Street. Free, no registration needed. Visit both stops to enter the prize drawing.

If you make it out to any of these this weekend, reply and let us know how it went. We're especially curious where people land on a Saturday with two big events at the same time.
And if you have news, a tip, or something happening next week that we should know about, send it our way. Reply to this email anytime.

Thanks for reading, Cookeville. Get outside this weekend if you can, and we'll be back next week.
