Good morning, Cookeville.
Sunday. The weekend still has some good hours left.
Today there are two reasons to be on the Tennessee Tech campus: baseball at 1 PM and Doreen Ketchens with the Bryan Symphony Orchestra at 3. And the rest of the week isn't bad either — Bizapalooza is Tuesday, Cream City does 31-cent scoops Monday night, and Whiskey Wednesday at The Putnam Room is always there.
In today's Cookeville Scoop:
BSO Concert: Doreen Ketchens today at 3 PM in Wattenbarger Auditorium (tickets at the door)
Spring Bizapalooza Tuesday, free, luau theme, 320+ expected
Seven Senses has a new lunch menu on the WestSide

Let's get to it.

RESTAURANTS
Seven Senses Food & Cheer — New Lunch Concept
Seven Senses relaunched with a new menu built around soups, salads, and sandwiches — a departure from their earlier format. Open Tuesday through Saturday, 11 AM to 3 PM, with a happy hour from 1 to 3 PM. Full bar. They're at 32 W Broad St in the Historic WestSide District. Their original menu is now across the street at Savor Cookeville (35 W Broad), run by the same owner — so the WestSide now has two distinct spots from the same team. sevensensesfood.com
Cream City — 31-Cent Scoop Monday + Tuesday Deal
Two evenings worth marking this week. Monday, April 27 after 5 PM: Cream City runs their annual 31-cent scoop night. Show up, get a scoop, call it a good Monday. Then Tuesday, April 28 from 5 PM to close: the regular Tuesday deal kicks in — $1 scoops for kids, $1.50 for adults. Two nights in a row of a reason to go. 119 W Broad St. creamcitycookeville.com
The Putnam Room — Whiskey Wednesdays
Every Wednesday from 5 to 9 PM, The Putnam Room runs half off all whiskey, bourbon, and scotch. If the week has been a lot by Wednesday, that's a reasonable response. Daily happy hour also runs Tuesday through Friday from 3 to 5 PM. Downtown Cookeville. theputnamroom.com

SPRING BIZAPALOOZA 2026: NETWORKING IN PARADISE
Twice a year, the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce clears the floor, sets up a few dozen tables, and invites every local business in the county to come set up shop for an evening. They call it Bizapalooza. This Tuesday, they're calling it a luau.
The 2026 Spring Bizapalooza runs Tuesday, April 28, starting at 4:30 PM at 1 W 1st St (downtown, Leslie Town Centre area). The theme is "Networking in Paradise: The Ultimate Luau." Businesses reserve booth tables and spend the evening talking to other owners and community members who wander through. Over 320 people are expected.
Here's what's easy to miss about this event: you don't have to be a business owner or a Chamber member to walk in. Anyone can come. If you've ever been curious about what Cookeville's business community actually looks like up close — who's launching something, who's been around for decades, what industries are growing — Bizapalooza is a good way to find out. The exhibitor list typically covers a wide cross-section of the city. You browse at your own pace, pick up information from whoever catches your attention, and leave knowing more people than when you walked in.
Twin Lakes is the presenting sponsor this year.
If you're a business owner and want a table, register through the Chamber before Tuesday. If you're coming to explore, just show up at 4:30. Either way, bring business cards. They always get used.
Free. Tuesday, April 28, 4:30 PM. 1 W 1st St, Cookeville. business.cookevillechamber.com/events
