JAMIE'S EATS AND SWEETS BRINGS POLAND TO DOWNTOWN COOKEVILLE
Here's something you don't see every day: a four-course Polish dinner in the middle of downtown Cookeville.
Jamie's Eats and Sweets is hosting a Food Around the World dinner this Friday, April 17, from 6 to 8 PM at 50 W Broad Street. This is the Poland edition. The concept is straightforward: a themed, multi-course dinner built around the food culture of one country, organized by someone with a clear love of cooking and a knack for creating evenings where people sit at the table longer than they planned.
Polish food is worth getting to know if you haven't already. Think hearty and layered: pierogies stuffed with potato and farmer's cheese, a deep beet soup called barszcz, slow-cooked kielbasa, goluabki (stuffed cabbage rolls), and for dessert, a dense spiced apple cake that earns its spot at the end of a proper meal. Four courses means there's time to actually sit with each one, which is the whole point.
What stands out about the Food Around the World series isn't just the food. It's that someone in Cookeville is putting these dinners together and people keep coming back. The AllEvents listing notes that spots fill fast, and based on the concept, that's easy to believe. This isn't a regular Tuesday night out. It's a specific experience, and those tend to book up.
If you eat adventurously, or if you've been looking for a genuinely different kind of Friday night, this is a good one. The dinner runs 6 to 8 PM this Friday at 50 W Broad Street.
