GEARS & GIVING BENEFIT FOR BRAYDEN

This Saturday at 10 AM, Cookeville Church of the Nazarene is hosting a car show. The cars are part of it. The part worth knowing about is Brayden.

Brayden is a local child battling Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma, a form of non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Gears & Giving is organizing Saturday's event as a community fundraiser for his family. They put on events like this one across the Upper Cumberland, raising money for children dealing with serious illness or disability. Saturday is the local one, and it's free to attend.

The day runs 10 AM to 2 PM at 360 S Old Kentucky Rd. Come with the kids: there's a bounce house, face painting, food trucks, and music from DJ Jones. Car owners can register and compete for trophies (top 25). Raffle prizes throughout the event. Whether you're coming to enter a car, bring the family, or just show up and be part of something good, the day is built for all of it.

What Gears & Giving does well is make these events feel worth attending on their own terms. It's not just a donation bucket by the door. It's a Saturday morning that works for families, car enthusiasts, and anyone who wants to be part of a community doing something for one of its own.

Free to attend. Cookeville Church of the Nazarene, 360 S Old Kentucky Rd. Saturday, April 18, 10 AM to 2 PM. Car registration details at gearsandgiving.com.

We hope to see a lot of Cookeville there.
